Q : Product Production : Carbon Fiber / Pre-Weave Woven Roving FiberglassAll RPG Carbon products, including our fiberglass units, are produced using the Vacuum Forming Production Process. This method involves infusing resin/epoxy into a vacuum-sealed bag. The result is products that are not only lightweight but also boast a rigid finish.

Q : Quality of Carbon / Fiberglass ProductAt RPG Carbon, we utilize a variety of production procedures and processes across our product line to ensure the best possible finish. The method used depends on the specific product and your chosen preferences. Our techniques include: Products made with one-piece carbon sheets Products made with multi-piece carbon sheets Carbon sheets wrapped around a skeleton Carbon sheets integrated directly into the mold Pre-weaved/Woven Roving fiberglass material We meticulously integrate these methods to deliver the best finished product possible. All our carbon products feature a clear coat finish. Clear coats are shiny and durable, providing that desirable "wet" look, unlike the duller appearance of gel coats. Every product is manufacture to order to fulfill diverse requirements and to guarantee the freshness of the materials, aligning with our company's commitment to unique quality.
-
Q : InstallationAs a precaution, all parts should be pre-fitted and visually inspected before making any modifications (like cutting, painting, sanding) or applying adhesive. We strongly recommend having an expert install your RPG Carbon Products. The installer should have experience working with carbon fiber and fiberglass to ensure the best possible fitment.
-
Q : Key Information for RPG Carbon ProductsPlease note the following important characteristics of our products: Handmade Nature: All RPG Carbon products are hand-made. This means no two products will be perfectly identical, and the installation process, while generally the same, may not be identical every time. Material Characteristics: Our carbon fiber and fiberglass products are handmade using a molding method. This process may lead to slight variations in thickness during production. As a result, minor filling and sanding of your carbon fiber components in certain areas may be required during installation. This is a normal product characteristic. Vehicle Modification: Minor modifications to your vehicle may be necessary as part of the normal installation process.
-
Q : WarrantyWe provide a 6-month limited clear coat warranty on our products. We meticulously model and test fit all parts before molding for production, and we guarantee fitment for all US-modeled vehicles, unless explicitly stated otherwise. However, it's important for customers to understand that no aftermarket body parts will fit exactly like OEM components. Minor adjustments are normal and expected to achieve a good fit. We are continuously striving to produce the highest quality aerodynamic parts and improve our processes over time. Please note that our warranty extends only to vehicles that have not had any prior bodywork done. As a crucial precaution, always test fit all parts before you cut, paint, or drill into them.
-
Q : Maintenance for Carbon Fiber ProductsCarbon fiber products are durable and rigid, but they still require care and maintenance to stay in excellent condition. To ensure longevity, we recommend the following: Keep products clean: Regularly clean your carbon fiber components to remove dirt and grime. Minimize sun exposure: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can affect the clear coat over time, so minimize it when possible. Wax when necessary: Applying wax periodically can help protect the finish and maintain its shine.
-
Q : Packing / ShippingAll RPG Carbon products are drop-shipped directly from our RPG-owned OEM factory located in Taiwan. (Local pick-up is also available from our California office.) Before packing and shipping, all products are thoroughly examined and test-fitted. Each item is then wrapped with two layers of protective wrap and enclosed in a plastic packing bag. Larger products receive additional protection with a wooden support frame. Receiving Your Shipment While we take great care in packaging, unforeseen damage can sometimes occur during transit by freight carriers. Therefore, it's crucial to examine the packaging condition immediately upon receipt. If you notice any obvious damage to the packing box, please refuse the delivery. Alternatively, if you discover damage after delivery, you must inform us within 7 working days of the shipment's arrival. It is essential to keep all packaging materials as evidence for a damage claim. Please understand that we will be unable to pursue a claim or compensate for the loss if reported after this required time period.

1x1 Plain Weave Carbon FiberThe 1x1 Plain Weave, also known simply as plain weave, features a straightforward over-under pattern. While not the absolute strongest weave, it offers a solid and reliable finish. Its tight construction makes it the easiest to handle, minimizing fraying at the edges compared to other weaves. Although other weave patterns might offer unique aesthetics or directional strength, the plain weave is generally more stable. All RPG Carbon products are made standard with this 1x1 Plain Weave pattern, unless a different option is selected.
-
2x2 Twill Weave Carbon FiberThe 2x2 Twill Weave has become incredibly popular, recognizable by its distinct synchronized diagonal pattern. This weave features an "over-over-under-under" braid and is widely used by many carbon fiber manufacturers for detailed work. Its more elastic and looser weave makes it well-suited for complex shapes. While some find twill weave easier to work with than a plain weave due to its less tightly woven structure, its complexity also means it can be more easily distorted
-
12K Plain Weave Carbon FiberThe 12K Plain Weave elevates the traditional plain weave to a new level. This robust carbon fiber features thick yarns, creating a bold, hardworking appearance where each strand resembles a glossy brush stroke. Its high-contrast surface showcases brilliant highlights alongside deep, dark shadows. This weave is perfect for larger panels like fenders, hoods, and trunks.
-
3K 12x18 Honeycomb Weave Carbon FiberIntroducing the 3K 12x18 Honeycomb Weave, a unique pattern that brings a distinctive hexagonal look to carbon fiber. This design appears to subtly "slither" across the fabric surface, resembling a reptile's skin, which lends itself to a variety of interesting applications. Patterned styles, such as this interlocking honeycomb, not only create a unique aesthetic but also help to maximize the inherent strength properties of the carbon fibers from which they're made. Importantly, this specific pattern will not affect the ultimate tensile strength or stiffness of the material.
-
Kevlar / Carbon Hybrid (Yellow) WeaveThis Kevlar / Carbon Hybrid (Yellow) Weave offers the best of both worlds: impact resistance combined with carbon fiber strength. By integrating the unique properties of both materials into each layer, this fabric delivers: High strength-to-weight ratio High conformability Excellent impact resistance Superior abrasion resistance Dimensional stability Enhanced fatigue resistance

FRP Finish ColorFor all FRP products, you can select your preferred painted finish: "Primer White" or "Primer Black".
-
Inside Laid with Pre-Weaving/Woven Roving FiberFor certain products, the backside (or interior) is finished with fiberglass, which acts as a skeletal support for the carbon fiber layers. You can see an example of this in the below left picture. With the "Inside Laid with Pre-Weaving Fiber" option, we'll cover this fiberglass skeleton, preventing its exposure. The appearance of the pre-weaving fiber can be seen in the below right picture.
-
Clear CoatingYour carbon fiber products can be finished with your preference of either a Matte (left picture) or Gloss (right picture) clear coat. Note: Our clear coat is UV-Protected.
-
Pre-Installed Mesh GrillYou have the option to have a mesh grill pre-installed at the hood scoop opening or air flow ducting area during production. Choose between: With Mesh Grill Option (Left Picture) Without Mesh Grill Option (Right Picture)
